About The Author

Tondaleya Robinson

I am a widow of 6 years with three adult children, of whom, are all married. At the time of my loss, I had one child left to graduate high school. I believe my mission and calling is to help African American widows/widowers to overcome the fear of being alone. If this book can encourage one person, then I have accomplished my goal.

I was led by the Holy Spirit to share my story with all the struggles and challenges which come along with it, is what will be most rewarding. Telling others, they do not have to go through this phase of their lives alone, gives them hope of new tomorrows. For others to understand their position, being transparent about the desire to remarry while keeping my flesh under subjection has not been an easy task. It becomes harder when the devil has mastered what I want in a marriage and like a magician, places it before me. At that present moment, my spirit and flesh collide warring against each other and the Holy Ghost takes the wheel, giving me a drive to resist.

Being a widow is not a bad thing, it is the card God dealt me and prayer is what is sustaining me. Knowing this is my lot, it is up to me to make the best of it. In making the best of it, I have decided to start a foundation to assist the grieving and provide hope for their future, a future knowing God is with us. There is a light at the end of my tunnel on this journey but I must keep going to see it. At the end knowing I have impacted the lives of those who could not help themselves.
